What to expect...
Here at the Doghouse Hotel, your dog will stay with us in our home, in a comfortable private kennel. With only 18 runs available, we ensure that your dog will receive plenty of attention and exercise. Since this is a family business, and our kids will be involved, we don't allow powerful breeds like Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Great Danes. We also do not take puppies who are not yet fully potty trained.
During the day your dog will enjoy plenty of fun, including walks down to the Little Su River right in our backyard! You can expect daily updates in the form of pictures and/or videos.
Our kennels have in-floor heating and soothing spa music for your dog’s comfort and enjoyment at night.
At The Doghouse Hotel, keeping our environment clean is an important part of making sure every guest stays healthy and happy. We take dogs outside for exercise and potty breaks five times a day, but we also understand that being in a new and exciting place can sometimes lead to potty accidents or marking behaviors that you might not see at home. If your dog begins habitually urinating in their kennel or spraying into another dog’s kennel, we may use a belly band to help manage this behavior and keep everyone clean and sanitary. If your dog is able to remove the belly band and continues spraying, it may mean our open kennel setup isn’t the best fit for their needs. In that case, we may recommend a facility with solid-walled kennels so your dog can feel more secure and comfortable during their future stays.
